Peekskill Hollow Road

Other inexplicable government not-doings

Peekskill Hollow Road.  The Town Board said, back in 2011, that it wanted a weight limit on Peekskill Hollow Road, by formal resolution.  The County Executive, then a legislator, and the legislature were happy to sign on to appease angry residents.  Friends of Peekskill Hollow Road has been around for how many years?  Why are we still waiting for a weight limit?

We are lucky to have a tireless fighter on our side – Vic Tiship has been keeping the issue in front of them.

The outgoing Commissioner of Highway didn’t want to do anything about it.  The new one apparently doesn’t want to do anything about it.

Is it possible for Putnam Valley and Putnam County government to function, and get this done?

In the famous county Physical Services meeting about Peekskill Hollow Road, where Old Muttonchops ridiculed the residents who wanted the road protected, one of the concerns raised was the public’s lack of trust in our “representatives.”  Gee, I wonder why we don’t trust them.
