Riparian Buffer at Oregon Corners

5/30/12 now an open letter:

To the Honorable Ms. Odell:

I heard you speak at the Putnam Valley Town Board meeting about the streamside buffer next to the Peekskill Hollow Creek and the Oscawana Brook. Will anything be done about restoration of the riparian buffer at Oregon Corners. The denuding occurred just before all the rain, maximizing the sediment runoff. Perhaps Trees for Tribs? Wetlands restoration? Will the walkway made of a permeable substance? Is there anything environmentally conscious in the works for this very sensitive area which has been subjected to numerous assaults?
Thank you for your attention to this matter,

Dawn Powell
