Bob’s January Surprise
January 31, 2011
Towns are not normally members of the Little League Association. So why is the town of
Putnam Valley joining, and why are we in the Little League business? I don’t get it. If this is usually handled by 501(c)3 non-profit
corporations and if Putnam Valley doesn’t have volunteers who want to do this, why are we doing it? Bob held a special
meeting to discuss it. It will be on the work session agenda.
Authorizing the expenditure for 4 Cimarron Road – asbestos contract removal company because they demolished the site without regard to the asbestos. Another company must be hired for air quality monitoring. AAA and Geoenvironmental.
Parks and Rec lawn mower contract and expenditure $18,000.
He also wanted to appoint a zoning board of appeals member. He appointed Bob Campo, who has been the ad hoc. No ad hocs were
appointed at the organizational meeting. Now they have appointed 2 people to the same 5 year term, which does not
conform to State law.
They appointed snow plow riders.
Lake Oscawana harvester again. The company will overhaul.
Adopt cats. Buy bagels. Save sea turtles.
